Air and sea relay spans across South America! Qian Kaigang opens a new China-to-Brazil logistics route!
On September 30, the China COSCO Shipping Corporation successfully completed the first delivery through the sea-air combined transport route for Chinese e-commerce goods, transferring from Peru's Callao port to São Paulo, Brazil. This marks the official launch of the new Shanghai–Callao–São Paulo sea-air logistics route, speeding up delivery times for shipments from China to Brazil.

The cargo departs from Shanghai and sails directly to the port of Callao in Peru. After completing the port transfer, it’s quickly transported to Lima Airport and then flown to São Paulo, Brazil. Once the cargo arrives at Callao, all port transfer procedures can be completed within 48 hours, enabling a seamless connection between sea and air transport. The whole journey takes about 30 days, which is nearly 10 days faster than the traditional all-sea route via the Panama Canal to Brazil’s east coast.

The entire transportation process relies on COSCO SHIPPING's digital platform, where shippers can track the full logistics chain with just one number. You can see all the cargo checkpoints at a glance, making the whole journey fully visible.

The value of Qian Kaigang Hub keeps being unlocked. Besides container shipping, the implementation of the sea-air intermodal model has expanded transport options for the Central and South American supply chain, providing a new path for smooth China–Latin America trade.
